JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sheeter position is responsible for moving the large rolls of paper stock from the warehouse to the sheeter area and operating the Maxson Sheeter to produce the proper sheet sizes and quantities as required for the specific job orders. The Sheeter will be cross trained to help in other production areas in order to help out when the Sheeter is not scheduled to run. The Sheeter will need to be certified to safely operate a clamp truck and a forklift. This position may be required to work overtime. He/She must consistently and efficiently perform and follow procedures in compliance to company, customer, and ISO standards.
PRINCIPAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Move large rolls of paper stock from the warehouse to the sheeter area by using a clamp truck.
- Operate the Sheeter safely in order to produce the correct size and quantity of sheets as per customer order.
- Assist with moving pallets of the cut sheets to the appropriate press.
- Utilize the shop floor data system (computerized) to help track productivity.
- Assist in other areas of manufacturing as requested including running material through the aerator.
- Responsible for training other employees or temporary employees in the safe operation of the Sheeter as requested
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Keep area clean and organized.
- Performs other job duties as assigned by management or lead person.
- Consistently attentive to quality throughout manufacturing process.

- High school education or GED required.
- Basic mechanical aptitude/skills.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment required; experience running a Sheeter preferred.
- Ability to read and write and communicate in English in order to follow written and verbal job instruction.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be attentive to detail and have excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent manual dexterity.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to comprehend and follow all job procedures and safety protocols.
