Team Leader - Rewind Department
Autajon Labels Royston: We are an award-winning label printing company, established in 1984 as Royston Labels Ltd, and joined the Autajon Group in 2023. As a growing business, we pride ourselves on developing high-end, top-quality labels for our well-known clients in the Cosmetics & Toiletries, Health & Nutrition, Drinks, and Pharma industries. We use our in-depth knowledge of traditional & digital print technologies, and combine this with innovative embellishments, as well as incorporating sustainability as a priority focus in our entire process. Based in Royston, near Cambridge, and with a team of 75 employees, we always aim to provide a quality service, and provide the skills, craftmanship & care required in every part of our manufacturing process to make beautiful, impactful labels.

**No Nights, No Weekends, No Bank Holidays**
37.5hrs, Monday to Thursday, 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 (Weekly Rotating) Friday, either earlies on 06:00-12:00, or lates on 12:00-18:00
Starting total remuneration £32182.20- (Includes starting salary & shift allowance)
You will be joining the Finishing Team of 15 people, which includes Rewinding, Packing and Despatch. You will report to the Finishing Supervisor, who overseas the entire department.
As a Rewind Team Leader, you will be responsible for:
- Lead and coordinate daily team activities in a finishing/production environment to ensure safe and efficient output
- Plan, allocate, and monitor workloads to meet production targets and deadlines
- Provide clear direction and support to operators to ensure tasks are completed effectively
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and health & safety requirements
- Communicate effectively across the team and support smooth shift handovers
- Liaise with supervisors regarding production issues, delays, and operational risks
- Support delivery of KPIs, efficiency targets, and continuous improvement activities
- Operate and monitor finishing/rewinding equipment
- Carry out quality checks, identify defects, and escalate issues appropriately
- Report equipment faults or breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime
- Support team members to maintain smooth and efficient production flow
JOB REQUIREMENTS
We would like to see:
- Previous team leader or supervisory experience in manufacturing, printing, packaging, or production
- Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team to achieve production and quality targets
- Experience organising workloads and supporting efficient day-to-day operations
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work across teams and departments
- Experience working to KPIs, production schedules, and performance targets
- Good attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy
- Ability to follow safety procedures, SOPs, and instructions consistently
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use production systems
- Able to work to tight deadlines and deliver on-time performance
- Experience supporting efficiency, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives
Experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a manufacturing or print production environment is essential.
