Director of Sales - East Coast

Autajon Cultech: Cultech Inc. is located in South Plainfield, NJ just 30 minutes outside of Newark, NJ and just 45 minutes from Times Square, making it a great place to raise a family in the suburbs while having the hustle and bustle of city life close by. Cultech is known for being one of the best custom luxury packaging companies currently engaged exclusively in fine fragrance and premium cosmetics. Cultech is also recognized for its high quality and as a leader in the creation of Mylar-laminated cartons. We provide enhanced graphics, custom formulated inks, hot stamping, embossing and silk-screening techniques to create distinctive packages with high visual appeal for the top brands around the world. We currently employ about 133 employees between two shifts, most of which work four-day work weeks.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for all hands-on and strategic aspects of the sales force operations, including defining plans, organizational design/alignment, sales force analysis, recommendations and actionable improvements for effectiveness, competitiveness and input into trends, and market changes that can affect productivity. Responsible for engagement and development of Key Account Managers, Customer Service and Marketing for Autajon USA East Coast with other cross-facility collaborations (NH-AP Boston/NJ-AP Cultech). Serve as an ambassador for the commercial organization with strong ties and a hands-on/strategic approach with internal, national and international customers.

Member of senior leadership team. Duties:

  • Participate in, develop and implement sales and marketing plans to advance revenue and profit goals.
  • Participate in and direct activities within sales areas including reporting, presentations, and headcount/budget resources, incentive compensation and manufacturing.
  • Along with stakeholder, define and build plans around prospecting actionable tasks and strategy with existing and pursued new customers. Establish and maintain frequent and deep contacts with strategic customers (especially the global accounts with HQ in Europe) in order to develop an effective network for the company.
  • Monitor targets/plans for result, activities and actions in order to achieve goals and organizational expectations.
  • Utilize understanding of organizational and customer constraints with solutions- and collaborative-oriented approach.
  • Establish a strong sales team with high-qualified employees and encourage collaboration among them in order to ensure the harmonious functioning of the commercial organization.
  • Create marketing strategy that will allow to cultivate and enhance meaningful relationships with targeted, high-level external audiences such as clients and industry organizations.
  • Identify challenges and emerging issues faced by sales team in order to find opportunities and solutions.
  • Provide direction regarding marketing and communications.
  • Oversee and develop corporate reports, presentations, marketing, collateral materials and electronic communications of sales and marketing.
  • Serve as the lead point person on interactions that help promote and/or impact the sales organization.
  • Oversee, develop and influence the day-to-day activities of sales, customer service and marketing including budgeting, planning and staff development.
  • Recruit and manage appropriate sales, customer service and marketing team members to support the development and execution of company strategy.
  • Promote a culture of high performance, hands-on approach to organizational needs and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
  • Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach on a consistent basis.
  • Establish and monitor staff performance plans and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals, and administer salary adjustments.
  • Ensure vision sharing, appraisal, coaching and successful integration plans of employees.
  • Ensure close collaborations with all departments in order to guarantee a consistency with action plans.
  • Share expertise in sales in order to transmit knowledge to the team and guarantee the correct understanding of the business model.
  • Supervise 10 sales employees.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related, plus 2 years of experience with all of the following:
    • printing, carton folding, and packaging, including materials, processes, and regulations;
    • developing sales strategy, sales forecasting and analytics, budget management, and negotiating contracts;
    • managing a team; and
    • using CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, or Epicor).
  • Domestic travel to customers 10%. Will also be required to travel 1 to 2 times per month to company's office in Nashua, NH for 1 to 3 days, depending on business and customer needs.
  • Hybrid home/office work schedule.
