Autajon Boston: Located in the greater Nashua, NH area Autajon Packaging Boston is a full-service packaging provider offering traditional folding cartons and a variety of other innovative styles. Some of our well-known customers are Lindt, Hersey, Godiva, and Ferrero Rocher. We currently employ 100 regular full-time employees year-round and roughly 80 seasonal employees. The Nashua facility is located 30 minutes outside Boston, an hour from the ocean and one and half hours from the mountains making it a great place for the outdoors person to live or to raise a family.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

POSITION SUMMARY:

Production schedulers are responsible for coordinating and developing production schedules on a daily or weekly basis to meet goals. Production schedulers are also responsible for managing product delivery to customers to ensure customer requirement dates are met while optimizing the use of resources. Monitor daily schedule and make necessary changes to maintain on-time delivery, equipment efficiency and M/R. Must consistently and efficiently perform and follow procedures in compliance to company, customer, and ISO standards.

PRINCIPAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collect necessary data to efficiently plan jobs.
  • Schedule the production process and production departments by material, employee and equipment availability.
  • Monitor production process and implement process improvements.
  • Efficiently assign production to minimize company costs and meet delivery deadlines.
  • Analyze and balance available resources and customer expectations, in order to deliver jobs on-time while optimizing the use of resources.
  • Schedules all manufacturing jobs to increase running efficiency and reduce make ready times.
  • Updates company ERP daily.
  • Communicates schedule changes in a timely manner to necessary department.
  • Communicates committed ready/ship date schedules to ASC's and Sales.
  • Coordinates jobs that have outside processing with vendors and ensures jobs ship to vendors as scheduled to maintain customer committed ship date.
  • Read, learn and understand technical materials, including job bags that relate to the packaging development and production process.
  • Gather and analyze information to improve production processes, including quality and production/scheduling timelines.
  • Be proactive and identify potential conflicts, alert stakeholders and call for arbitration.
  • Manage tool(s), including visual tool(s), to efficiently plan and record production, tests, maintenance, and customer sign off visits and efficiently communicate planning.
  • Synchronizes as necessary with all internal stakeholders to ensure common vision of the production planning.
  • Adjust planning in order to accommodate unexpected events, while keeping control of on-time delivery and using efficiently resources.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed in support of manufacturing operations, customers, and suppliers.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate's degree in production management or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years' experience of production industry or related industry.
  • Proficient level of English – Verbal & Written.
  • Read, learn and understand technical materials, including job bags that relate to the packaging development and production process.
  • Must have strong math skills.
  • Demonstrate initiative in problem solving.
  • Must be attentive to detail and have excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and understand a Job Bag.
  • High level of proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Be on-call in case of production problems that need to be resolved immediately.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; and ability to learn and use company specific software.
