Autajon Boston: Located in the greater Nashua, NH area Autajon Packaging Boston is a full-service packaging provider offering traditional folding cartons and a variety of other innovative styles. Some of our well-known customers are Lindt, Hersey, Godiva, and Ferrero Rocher. We currently employ 100 regular full-time employees year-round and roughly 80 seasonal employees. The Nashua facility is located 30 minutes outside Boston, an hour from the ocean and one and half hours from the mountains making it a great place for the outdoors person to live or to raise a family.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Training
- Provide new hires with background information of Autajon Packaging and the operational culture.
- Perform training of employees and document to include safety and standardized training to enhance employee capabilities.
Continuous Improvement
- Manage the error reduction programs, OFI (Opportunity for Improvement) programs, and standardized training programs to enhance employee capabilities, safety, increase customer satisfaction and improve efficiencies.
- Provide expertise to manage workshops for analysing and fixing nonconformances and improve customer feedback
- Work with employees and management to develop ways to improve processes.
- Prioritize, coordinate assistance, keep a visual log of projects in process, measure improvements and celebrate implementations.
- Provide coordination assistance for process improvement events as they arise, including other ideas and initiatives as they come up.
- Adheres to and promotes compliance to ISO, safety, quality standards and company procedures and immediately reports any nonconformance to supervision.
- Read and follow documented procedures and specifications accurately. If procedures or instructions are unclear, immediately bring the documentation to the attention of supervision.
- Presents a proactive approach to improvement (e.g. understanding and application of problem solving tools brainstorming).
- Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively to customers, employees and management.
Continuous Improvement Specialist (CIS)
- Performs any special projects as assigned by management.
SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must learn and comply with all Autajon safety rules; reference to employee handbook.
PRINCIPAL SKILLS AND FUNCTIONS (5+):
Above average skills in handling multiple tasks with strong attention to detail. Above average skills in writing composition and document structuring.
Must be able to effectively work with all levels of management and the work force, and speak effectively in group settings.
Initiates involvement in creative solutions and implements improvements to team quality processes.
Ability to sit/stand/bend/walk and manual dexterity for duration of work period.
Ability to work in a high stress environment to meet customer delivery dates.
Willingness to work overtime on all seven-week days and assist in all manufacturing related functions, as required by supervision.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 2-years of Continuous Improvement Experience.
- College degree preferred or proven industry related training and or certifications.
- 4-years industry experience preferred in packaging.
- Must possess technical writing capabilities.
- Ability to create and present procedures.
- Knowledge of training techniques.
- Ability to problem solve. Technical troubleshooter.
- Must display a team player attitude that is key to success.
- Cooperative and proactive with a positive attitude.
- Strong relationship building skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Resourceful.
- Good math skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to change.
- High level of proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and basic computer programs.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills along with the ability to prioritize work.
