Die Cutting Operator - 2nd Shift

Autajon Packaging Thoro/Zapp:

Based in Southern California, close to the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, Autajon Packaging Thoro/Zapp has provided more than 50 years of award-winning experience in innovative folding carton design and manufacturing experience. Our eco-friendly packaging expertise caters to customers across multiple industries such as Medical, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic, and Health & Beauty. We are ISO certified and utilize state-of-the-art technologies to meet the strictest standards of excellence in folding carton manufacturing. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your Role

Are you a detail-oriented die cutting/machine operator who prefers working in a clean and safe manufacturing environment? Do you enjoy working collaboratively with a team to achieve goals? Have you consistently made decisions demonstrating regard for your customers? If so, we have an opportunity for a Die Cutting Operator-2nd Shift in our finishing department that would allow you to set-up, operate and maintain the die cutting press to score and cut paperboard in compliance with ISO 9000 standards.

Pay Range: $25-$30/hour
Location: Ontario, CA
Schedule: Monday-Friday 1:15pm-9:45pm


Your Responsibilities

  • Communicate clearly and precisely with internal and external customers.
  • Review and follow documented procedures, job jackets, etickets and specifications accurately.
  • Set-up, operate, and maintain die cutting press to score and cut paperboard.
  • Perform in process inspection to ensure cuts conform to specifications.
  • Assist in pre make ready and die shop as needed.
  • Participate in the team process and consistently attentive to quality throughout manufacturing process

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications Needed

  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED; Minimum 1-year pre make ready and die cutting experience; industry experience preferred.
  • Credentials: Valid state issued driver's license preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to frequently lift / move up to fifty (50) pounds. Ability to make adjustments on press as needed. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Characteristics: Strong attention to detail; Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs. Performs well in a team environment. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Able to read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms, or other related documents
