JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Properly set up and monitor all gluing equipment during running process to assure cartons meet customer specifications.
- Handle all routine and preventative maintenance of company equipment on a regular basis.
- All equipment, parts and tools must be placed in their designated area after use.
- Stage product by following production schedule.
- Assure the integrity of the product.
- Notify the supervisor of defect trends, nonconforming gluing quality, and any orders that may be short.
- Monitor quality throughout gluing process in order to remove and segregate unacceptable product.
- Train all finishing crews and new glue operators.
- Complete all paperwork for the gluers as needed.
- Read job bag and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Check approved samples for proper gluing and set up of cartons.
- Responsible for Line Clearance in immediate work areas.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe working area at all times.
- Performs other job duties as assigned by management or lead person.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in General Manufacturing.
- Knowledge of gluing machines.
- Strong mechanical aptitude/skills.
- Proficient level of English Verbal & Written.
- Ability to read and understand a Job Bag.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Excellent manual dexterity.
- Demonstrate initiative in problem solving.
- Must be attentive to detail and have excellent organizational skills.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive manual tasks with frequent rotations.
- Must be able to comprehend and follow all job procedures and safety protocols
