JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Your Role
Are you detail oriented, highly organized, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment? Do you love the challenge of performing a wide variety of tasks as you work collaboratively with your team to achieve goals in a casual environment? If so, we have an opportunity for a Production Planner that will allow you to interpret, plan and communicate job specifications from order entry through manufacturing. You will work in collaboration with Quality, Production, and Suppliers, to provide optimal materials, tooling, and work instructions to Operations ensuring customer requirements are met.
Pay Range: $21-24/hour
Your Responsibilities
- Communicate clearly and precisely with internal and external customers.
- Create Production Orders for all Sales Orders (entered by customer service team), and verify details to the estimate, proof, CAD, print item specs, design/layout standard, special instructions, delivery date expectation, and customer purchase order.
- Review notes and efficiencies from previous run to determine waste requirements for repeat items.
- Attend Technical Meetings to finalize new layouts and review all job requirements with Quality, Production, CAD/CAM and PrePress. Document and request any changes to CSR, CAD/CAM, and/or Estimating.
- Determine roll size requirements, case size and palletizing and verify ink drawdowns are correct.
- Create PO's as needed for all materials/tooling/buyouts and manage logistics for purchased goods/services.
- Communicate job status to CSR's, Scheduling, Production, Shipping and Suppliers.
- Gather and analyze information to improve planning timelines and reporting of KPI's.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications Needed
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED. Minimum 2 years production planning experience, preferably using Epicor. Preferred industry experience in folding cartons, packaging, printing, manufacturing.
- Credentials: Valid state issued driver's license.
- Skills: Ability to read and understand Estimates and Production Orders. Technical/analytical focus with good math skills. Excellent listening, interpersonal skills, logical, efficient, and keen attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Work at steady, even pace to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
- Characteristics: Highly self-motivated and directed with ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in fast-paced environment with strong customer service orientation. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Respond promptly and professionally to customer needs. Supportive and cooperative with team. Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Resourceful and creative.
