Reception & Business Support Administrator
Autajon Labels Royston: We are an award-winning label printing company, established in 1984 as Royston Labels Ltd, and joined the Autajon Group in 2023. As a growing business, we pride ourselves on developing high-end, top-quality labels for our well-known clients in the Cosmetics & Toiletries, Health & Nutrition, Drinks, and Pharma industries. We use our in-depth knowledge of traditional & digital print technologies, and combine this with innovative embellishments, as well as incorporating sustainability as a priority focus in our entire process. Based in Royston, near Cambridge, and with a team of 70 employees, we always aim to provide a quality service, and provide the skills, craftmanship & care required in every part of our manufacturing process to make beautiful, impactful labels.


In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our Company; welcoming guests, customers, and visitors to the business. Your administrative responsibilities include offering support for the Account Management & Admin team, the Managing Director, and across the wider business. To be successful in this role, you should be courteous, friendly, and outgoing, as you will be providing the first impression to our customers, in person and on the phone. You should be able to communicate with people on all levels, and have a strong attention to detail. All administrative tasks will need to be executed to the highest quality standards, displaying initiative and the ability to work on your own and be self-sufficient.

Your reception duties will include:
  • Greet and welcome guests, providing them with refreshments where required.
  • Co-ordinate visits with the appropriate department.
  • Answer, screen, and forward calls to the correct person, taking clear messages when necessary.
  • Ensure that the reception area & meeting rooms are tidy and presentable, with all stationery and material stock levels maintained.
  • Full responsibilities for the post duties (incoming and outgoing post, franking machine updates/issues).
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (for example; monitoring the logbook, issuing visitor badges)
  • Update calendars and schedule bookings for staff in meeting rooms.
  • Arrange travel if necessary.
  • Organise events, such as the staff Christmas party.
  • Ad hoc administration & support for the Managing Director
  • Produce and send out sample packs and letters to customers as requested by the Sales team.
  • Keep the material samples tidy, filed, and ensure there are adequate stock levels.
  • Any ad hoc duties as reasonably requested by your line manager
You account management administrative duties will include:

  • Taking responsibility for the entire job bag process, including;
    - Converting job bags into folders
    - Filing the folders, and managing and organising the filing process
    - Filing the product specifications
  • Taking responsibility for the Artwork Controller inbox, alongside the admin team
  • Coordinating tasks with the admin team, and taking on any additional tasks or responsibilities as reasonably requested by the supervisor
  • Providing administrative cover during periods of absence


We're looking for:

  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and an eye for accuracy
  • Proven work experience as a receptionist, front of house representative or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite.
  • Hands on experience with office equipment such as a franking machine, printer, and laminator
  • Hostess skills would be an advantage.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • A ‘can do' positive attitude, with the ability to be resourceful and proactive.
  • Effective communication and listening skills, with the ability to be discreet and confidential.
  • Experience in an administrative position, or office environment is desired.
