JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hang plates and coating blankets.
  • Register job when needed.
  • Verify vinyl to printed sheet for accuracy of bleeds, knockouts and scores.
  • Verify proper substrate and inks
  • Submit sheets to QA department.
  • Assist pressman in checking copy.
  • Inspect for defects before and during run.
  • Assist pressman with documentation and checklists.
  • Set up water units. Monitor peripheral equipment.
  • Check and maintain proper ink and coating levels.
  • Proactively assist in setting upcoming jobs for ease of job change-overs.
  • Assist pressman in troubleshooting press problems.
  • Assist in preventive maintenance.
  • Assist in roller maintenance.
  • Assist in troubleshooting feeder problems.
  • Assist in wash ups.
  • Work with pressman to learn ink settings and control.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, report any unsafe situations immediately.
  • Perform additional duties/projects as assigned by management and/or Supervisor.
  • Run printing press when needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in the operation of small, medium, and/or large format offset printing equipment.
  • Technical Knowledge of Offset Printing Presses; preferably Heidelberg.
  • Proficient level of English communication– Verbal & Written.
  • Ability to read and understand a Job Bag.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Must be attentive to detail with a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent manual dexterity.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive manual tasks with frequent rotations.
  • Must be able to comprehend and follow all job procedures and safety protocols.

  • 2nd shift hours (3:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.) Monday thru Thursday.
