We are looking for an attention to detail, technical self-starter to join our team as CAM Structual Designer. This role will create efficient and effective packaging configurations to meet customer specifications. Produce and output necessary prototypes and art materials for customer orders. This is your opportunity to be part of an industry leader in printing, folding carton and packaging products.

We are part of the Autajon Group - Packaging division with locations in the U.S. throughout Europe and Asia


  • Develop and program lay-outs for planning meetings.
  • Program and output all materials for production (vinyl's, coating blankets, die boards, spot sheets, stripping boards and blanking tooling.
  • Operate computer-aided design (CAM/CAD) system.
  • Create an efficient and effective package to meet customer specifications taking into consideration weight of stock, damage, and visual requirements.
  • Coordinate projects, revise and modify designs and conceptualize finished product.
  • Communicate clearly, concisely, effectively and persuasively in oral and written format with internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Coordinate projects and inform the Sales Team when changes of commitments are made
  • Provide the necessary materials needed for the production of artwork.
  • Revise and modify designs as needed for customers or Thoro's production.
  • Maintain the history of customer projects (file system).
  • Perform any special project as assigned by management


  • Distinguish colors accurately and consistently.
  • Ability to sit/stand/bend/walk and manual dexterity for duration of work period.
  • Moderate lifting up to 35 lbs. up to 30 times per work period.
  • Excellent eye to hand coordination.
  • Team Player!
  • 1 year experience in CAD/CAM software
